Santa Ana is more than just a neighbourhood. Santa Ana is a community, and a place for the adventurous. Santa Ana is where I personally call home and where I have my own boutique vineyard and winery, La Despensa Boutique.
If you've ever dreamt of owning a vineyard, or you're just looking for a beautiful place to call home, Santa Ana is a wonderful choice. We have an eclectic group of people from all over the world already living in the neighbourhood, a neighbourhood that grew organically through a group of friends.
We now have some smaller plots of land available and we're looking for like-minded people to come and join our neighbourhood project. At the moment, there are 6 vineyards all within 1km of each other. 4 of us have produced wine on a small-scale, commercial basis. This is absolutely unique in South America and is more reminiscent of ancient winemaking areas in France or Italy. Our belief is 'the more, the merrier'. Making Santa Ana a 'must-visit' stop for wine-loving tourists in the Colchagua Valley is our aim.
The 16 plots available are 2 hectares each (further increments of 0.5 hectares are possible). They are perfect for high-quality, organic vineyard and all have lovely spots to build a home for yourself.
I am personally offering my services to design, plant and manage your vineyard, and I also offer home-building services. In Santa Ana, I have built 4 homes for clients and planted 2 vineyards, in addition to my own vineyard project. I will be available to manage your vineyard for you, so you can be as involved as much or as little as you like.
There is no obligation to plant vineyard, so if you're just looking for a wonderful neighbourhood to build your home, then you're just as welcome to join the community.
Santa Ana is located just 2.5 hours from Santiago, an easy drive along paved roads and the main highway, Ruta 5. There's 2.5km of well-maintained, dirt road in the entrance to Santa Ana, but there is a project to pave the road within the next 2-3 years.
Prices are $41 million pesos per hectare of land. This includes 0.25 litres per second of subterranean water rights (sufficient for 1 hectare of vineyard, gardens and domestic use), and subterranean electrical hook up. A 2 hectare plot will therefore be $82 million pesos, +/-us$120,000.
